I love sweets, ice cream, bakery items, chocolate, you name it I love it…except black licorice. I had a hard time eating breakfast in the beginning so I found this concoction and use it for any meal of my day, including those evening cravings for ice cream. There are a few variations depending on what I either have on hand or need in nutrients. This mix is the easiest!
This concoction is made with two ingredients, Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. I normally don’t like cottage cheese, but mixed with something else I like it. I have a preference of brands because I’ve tried them all and the best are Dannon single serve Greek Light & Fit yogurts and Knudsen’s Fat Free Cottage Cheese.
The basic mix is one container of yogurt and 1/2 cup or 120g of cottage cheese. Mix and enjoy! (Yields 160 calories, 17g carbs, 0 fat, 22 g protein.)
Higher protein and fiber needed? Add one tablespoon or 12g of chia seeds. Mix and let sit for about 5-10 minutes to allow the chia seeds to soften a bit before eating. (Yields 220 calories, 22 carbs, 3g fat, 25 g protein, 5 g fiber.)
