I’m a sweet tooth fiend! When I’m eating healthy I always try to find something that will satisfy the cravings while not killing my goals. Today I discovered a creamy rich, delightful mixture. Not only was it sweet, it had a rich flavor which helped to completely satisfy my sugar-demanding demons and actually filled me up. I prepared it as a snack, but after eating it, it definitely was a fun lunch.
2 Tblsp – PB2 (Powdered Peanut Butter)
¼ Cup – Fage Greek Yogurt
2 Tblsp – Cool Whip Whipped Cream
4 Pkgs – Stevia Artificial Sweetener
1 Whole Apple

Make sure you combine in order for best results:
Combine Greek Yogurt with Stevia sweetener and stir together. Add Powdered Peanut Butter and mix thoroughly, then fold in Whipping Cream. Cut apple into extra, extra thick chip slices. Dip apple into peanut butter mixture and when gone, lick the bowl!
This mixture can be eaten as a sweet dip or can be eaten alone instead of pudding, ice cream or yogurt. Calorie and protein count is great and when taking the apple into consideration, the additional 80 calories are voided because it takes more energy for the body to digest the apple than the calories found in it. I really love zero-type calorie foods.
Although I haven’t tried substituting ingredients, I believe protein powder of any flavor would be a fun alternative to the base. However, I wouldn’t try substituting lite whipped cream for the regular as used in the above recipe. It’s not as fluffy and would be runny and disappointing. The idea is to have something delicious that doesn’t make you feel like you’re missing out on the good and naughty foods while trying to watch your health. Any decrease in the naughty, fatty foods nutrition components is a step in the right direction and every step counts.
I did try freezing this mixture, but I don’t recommend it. It’s much better fresh and creamy. I’ve found myself already craving this concoction again and it’s only been six hours since I ate it!
